The Swiss mountain resort of Crans-Montana, located two hours from Geneva Airport in the French speaking part of the Valais region, is now preparing to open for its summer season.

Many of the resorts features will be open, including the mountain bike tracks, cable car lifts, beach club and water sports, the golf course, hiking trails, swimming pool, climbing wall and tennis courts. Shops, restaurants and hotels are also opening up.

The resort is managing all safety measures in-line with Swiss government advice and promises to welcome guests ‘in complete safety, respecting the standards of hygiene and distance’.

Pierre-Henri Mainetti, Sales and Marketing Manager from Crans-Montana Tourism and Congress, talking about the resort in summer, said:

Nature lovers like to ‘get away from it all’ and enjoy the scenery in all its beauty and diversity. The wide range of sports available across the region encourages sporty types to ‘get into the swing of things’ too. The combination of tradition and modernity arouses curiosity about a unique culture – a genuine haven of peace conducive to rest and relaxation, the area’s healthy attitude to life encourages people to take time to relax with a real sense of carpe diem.

The new summer press pack is available to download.
