An original concept and a first in Europe.
The French Alpine resort of Les Gets is launching a new major tourist attraction this summer as planned – the ALTA LUMINA Park. The multi-sensory experience, presented in the form of an enchanted nocturnal journey, immersing visitors in an imaginary world with the use of technology, is the first of its kind in Europe.
This major project has been a twelve month collaboration with Moment Factory, the producer and designer of the experience. Present in ten destinations around the world, the Canadian company continues to develop its concept in Europe; Les Gets is their latest creation.
ALTA LUMINA is aimed at audiences of all ages and will operate year-round, thus being part of the station’s 4-season diversification strategy. It’s the twelfth experience in an award-winning series from the designers. Each Lumina night experience is designed specifically for a destination, making each one completely unique to the areas DNA.
Alexis Bongard, Director of Les Gets Tourism, explains the story behind ALTA LUMINA:
In the forest at nightfall, visitors are invited to take part in the incredible adventure of a music peddler who flies aboard his balloon and travels across the mountains. The story is told poetically by light, the image in all its forms, the scenography and interactivity. The course is specially designed to provide visitors with an experience rich in emotions, where music can be seen, where light can be heard. Discovering ALTA LUMINA is a delight and allows you to create unforgettable memories in the minds of young and old.
