Exclusive Women’s Only Mountain Bike Week Launches In Bormio, Italian Alps

Alpin Luxe has launched a new autumn women’s only mountain biking week based in the heart of the Italian Alps. The spa town of Bormio is famous for its Stelvio downhill ski run during the winter, named for the mountain pass that is located close by. But it’s also a haven for mountain bikers searching for both downhill and cross country riding.

The week will include e-mountain bike rental and is suited to cyclists who have some level of off-road mountain biking experience, but would also like to improve their skills with qualified mountain bike competitor and instructor, Christine Mullins, along with local and guides.

Led by Gary Miller, USA Olympic Men’s Alpine Skiing Coach, cyclists will also enjoy gourmet meals every day and access to the world class spa facilities in the resort of Bormio.

“Bormio is surrounded by the Stelvio National Park and hundreds of kilometres of single track trails. We plan to ride the iconic Stelvio Pass too, but on e-bikes it should take some of the strain out of the journey. It’s really important that we explore the area too and take in some of the natural sites, wineries and sample local food in some of the smaller villages in the region. And recovery time is taken seriously! With over 30 ancient thermal baths and caves running through the mountain, the Bagni Vecci Spa will relax those muscles after a day in the saddle. This world class facility has been operating since the 1st Century”.

Dates: September 24 to October 1, 2022
