New direction For Maier Sports UK

Maier Sports has become part of the newly launched Compass Group that includes a number of other brands such as UYN, Dolomite and Eddie Bauer. Founded by Linda and Tomas Torstensson (Maier Sports UK distributors) and Adam Renshaw (formally of Falke UK), the group will offer a full sales and marketing service across the UK with a team of experienced outdoor and ski professionals.

Linda Torstensson from Compass Group, said: “the newly launched Compass Group brings together a number of leading outdoor and ski brands, including Maier Sports. This larger umbrella organisation will help further improve distribution to UK and Irish retailers and help to create an even better after sales service for Maier Sports retail customers”.

New collaboration For Maier Sports Proving To Be A Big Plus Point

Specialist plus size retailer Vampire Outdoor Gear has recently introduced Maier Sports to its growing collection and it’s already proving to be one of the best-selling brands. The Maier Sports ‘perfect fit’ promise offers a huge amount of larger size options across both mens and womens outdoor trousers and jackets, making it an ideal partner for a retailer that specialises in outdoor clothing for people with bigger bodies.

Founder of Vampire Outdoor Gear, Rebecca Dawson, said: “A particular benefit of adding Maier Sports products to our range is the different-shaped cut in women’s jackets, compared to other plus size brands that we stock. This gives plus size customers greater choice, and helps to provide something for every shape and size. Also, the addition of men’s jackets and trousers in larger sizes from Maier Sports means we can now offer something for everyone who has a larger body”.

100% Sustainable Clothing Concept Roles Out To Best-Selling Items

Maier Sports’ leading sustainability project, design2recycle–recycle2design that adopts a fully circular model, closing a loop from the design stage through to the final life of a garment, has rolled out to the key items in the outdoor collection, the Metor Jacket and Latit Trousers. NFC (near field technology) is used in the form of a tag integrated into the product so that information can be used at the end of a product’s life, enabling the company to fully recycle the materials into new products.
